After World War One or The Great War, it was common for people in Germany to be really poor and really sad so, when a charming charismatic man shows up and says he'll take away all their problems, it was a no brainer for them to trust him. I mean, if you were in severe debt and some guy said he could take away all your problems? Sure, now it sound weird, but in 1933 Germany it sounded awesome.  enemy for the Germans to fall back on. Then, of course, there is the monetary aspect. That's the reason why Russia, Italy, and other countries fell to the German side to conquer.
