You Were My Friend How Dare You

In the book Julius Caesar, there is a character named Verdus who is our main character. He goes on a path to eventually stab Julius Caesar himself. Now, why did he do this? Because his friends tricked him. His was how did they trick him you might ask well they threw letters at his door and said that it was from the people saying that they didn't like julius caesar anymore and that they should kill him now my question i propose to you today is why is it that he so easily believed the. letters he was given now i think that if he took 4-5 seconds even to just think about what he was given what he has seen seen that the handwriting is all the same and that there's no possible way that every single person that was just praising caesar saying how much of a good guy he was would just turn around and say how much of a bad guy he was and that he's power hungry and corrupt people don't just have a change of heart like that
